There are several weeks that I am pretty excited about this semester, primarily the next 4 weeks and the last four weeks of the semester. I am a huge fan of somewhat grim tales or stories that deviate from the traditional happy ending or predictable ending. I also enjoy learning about the gods and goddesses of different cultures, so I selected a few stories that detail the deities of other cultures. For the Native American unit, I am really excited to cover the tribes of Alaska, as they are not covered nearly as often as most other ones. The Inuits also have a history of supernatural happenings and beliefs, which is a topic I have always been intrigued by.

I chose this image because I think that even if this woman had offered me a million bucks instead of candy, I would refuse to trust her. Though even as I child I likely would have refused simply because I was not the biggest fan of candy.
